Spring-2012

The weather's been beautiful lately, and I've gone a few drives in the sun to surrounding areas. I bought myself some new earrings and the little bunny rabbit ones are clip-ons, so I just stuck them on to see what it would look like to get a third piercing- maybe I'll be brave enough to actually do it for real one day!

My son made me this cute little necklace and I've been wearing it with everything :) He's only seven, isn't so sweet of him?  I also cute my hair really short and now I'm missing my long hair, so I tried wearing some extensions, but it looked like shit lol.

2011- Trip to Canberra

I recently took a trip to Canberra to see my sister. I've been to Canberra so many times, but I do love visiting the place and seeing all the tourist attractions. We went to the park where I got to see swans, always one of my favourite things about Canberra.

How cute are these two?

Then we went to the mall where we got to see Christmas trees, don't they look grand?

We also went to Cockington Green, I love riding the train there, as being on a train or on a boat is one of my favourite things in the entire world.

Then we went to the Canberra Museum and Film and Sound Archive, where we got to se some really cool stuff.

I'm a huge movie buff, and Picnic at Hanging Rock is one of my favourite Aussie movies. The first time I saw it was when I was about nine. I was staying at my grandparents house and my Grandpa was trying to find an appropriate movie for me to watch. He gave me two choices, the African Queen with Humphrey Bogart and Katherine Hepburn or Picnic at Hanging Rock.

I watched five minutes of  The African Queen, because I was a huge Humphrey Bogart fan-Yes at Nine- How good is the Maltese Falcon? Anyway, I choose Picnic at Hanging Rock, as I found the African Queen rather boring.

My Grandpa put the movie on, and proceeded to tell me that it was based on a true story. So basically, it scared the shit out of me, the music haunted me and I spent hours awake that night in bed, wondering if the ghost of the lost girls were coming for me!

It was also pretty cool seeing the props from Priscilla Queen of the Dessert. Had the biggest crush on Guy Pearce back in the day!

It was Christmas time when we went and there was flooding and so we weren't able to get back until three weeks later. We had caught the bus down and then were able to get a lift back with a friend.

We also went to Black Mountain and Telstra Tower. The GPS took us around all sorts of streets for half an hour and my sister was that annoyed by the end o fit, she just ended up finding Black Mountain from memory.
